All Saints Day Party

This morning we had our annual All Saints Day Party at CtR.  The boys were ecstatic to get to wear their costumes for the first time.  They both woke up jumping off the walls with excitement for the party.  This year we are going with a Peter Pan theme with James as Captain Hook, John Patrick as Peter Pan and Felicity and Mia Beth as Tinker Bell.

Dewberry Farms

It has become an annual trip to go out to Dewberry Farms in October.  The boys had been anticipating the trip for weeks.  I wish the weather was cooler but besides the scorching temperature we all had a blast.

James was determined to find the perfect pumpkin :)

James was so proud of his pumpkin selection

Zube Park Train Ride

This morning we took the kids out to Zube park to ride the train and play at the park.  A church group I am in had this as a scheduled family event and it was a great find!  The park is only 12 minutes from our home and the kids had a blast.  After the train ride we got 'family flu shots' and then got ready for the Texas/Baylor game.  I love family Saturdays.  Tomorrow we are looking forward to a trip to Dewberry Farms.

Visitors and Hook'em

Aunt Theresa (Nathan's Sister) and Uncle Brandon came in town a few weekends ago.  The boys love there Aunt and Uncle so much and had a blast getting to play with them.

This weekend

I-will-carry
Right after our ultrasound with Joshua my dear friend, Jenny gave me a copy of the book "I will Carry You" by Angie Smith.  Angie's story about her daughter Audrey was almost identical in so many ways to our journey with Joshua.  This weekend Jenny invited me to go hear Angie Smith talk at the Women of Faith conference in San Antonio.  We were able to meet Angie Smith briefly and share our stories with her.   It was a great weekend and I'm continually reminded of how blessed I am to have such incredible friends.

Prayer to End Abortion

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
