Church Festival

Our church's spring festival was last night and today.  Thankfully today the weather cooperated better than last night and it was a beautiful day!  James and John Patrick were troopers and made it the entire day at the festival.  They had a blast and will sleep great tonight.

BUNK BEDS and 5th anniversary

This morning the boys woke up knowing that their bunk beds were going to be delivered today.  Their excitement was adorable.  I think James sat by the front door with his face against the glass for at least 45 minutes.  When they finally arrived they were thrilled to get to watch the men put them together.  I am so excited for the boys to have 'big boy bunk beds', but at the same time it is sad to know that they are becoming 'big boys'.  Today is also a special day for mommy and daddy because today is our 5th anniversary.  I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband.  Today Nathan came home early from work and took me out to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Taste of Texas.  

Special thanks to Baba and Pappy for coming in town to watch the boys for us.  

Bedtime stories

Thursday night we prepared the boys room for their new bunk beds that were being delivered on Friday morning.  The boys have been beyond excited about bunk beds so sleeping on their mattresses on the floor made the excitement almost too much to handle.  Daddy had a later night at work so he made it home just in time for story time. 

A night with friends

Next weekend we are taking a trip to Chicago with some good friends.  This week we had their family over for dinner to talk out all the details.  With 4 boys four and under we didn't get to much planning but we did have a great night and the boys had a blast. :)

A trip to the Lake House

The boys have been counting down the days for us to go to the lake house.  I am pretty sure that it's James and John Patrick's favorite place in the whole world (maybe mine too).  Unfortunately we haven't been able to go in a way too long.  If I were to describe the weekend I'm sure it would sound miserable.  The water wasn't working from Friday night til Saturday afternoon and we spent most of the weekend working around the house and yard.  However, we had an amazing weekend!  Just being in Austin and at the lake house is so much fun.  It's fun for the boys to be with there grandparents, great grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles.  It is fun to do yard work and fun to be outside.  Before bed last night James told me, "mom I wish we could have stayed in Austin for more days...I wish we lived at the lake house."  We are hoping that we will be spending a lot of time in Austin over the next few months.
