March 21st is our son Joshua's birthday. It's a hard thing to know how to 'celebrate' a day that was not only your son's birthday but also the day that he died. The first day home from the hospital after delivering Joshua I didn't want to be at home so we drove out to Brenham to the Blue Bell factory. Last year we decided that we would go on what would have been Joshua's first birthday so this year we decided to do the same. First we went to mass and were grateful to have family and friends there to celebrate mass with us. Next we drove to the cemetery, then on the way to Brenham we stopped for a bluebonnet picture or two then on to Blue Bell. Thank you to everyone who texted, called, sent gifts, cards and prayed for us yesterday. Your prayers were felt and we were reminded of the graces God has given us through the life of our sweet son, Joshua.
